Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
PawDone is a shared pet-care app that helps you and the people you trust keep track of feeding, walks, medications, and other care for your pets. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built PawDone to work offline-first, and we keep data collection limited to what the app actually needs to function.
Information We Collect
We only collect information needed to run the care board and keep it in sync across your household.
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or an email magic link, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we may receive basic profile details (such as your name and email) from that provider, subject to what you choose to share.
- Pet profiles and photos. Any pet details and photos you add — names, species, notes, and images — are stored so they appear on your care board.
- Care logs and schedules. The activities you log (feeding, walks, medications, and similar) and the reminders and schedules you create.
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver care reminders and household updates to your device.
- Local usage events. PawDone records basic usage events (such as activity streaks and history) to power in-app features. These events are stored locally on your device and are not sent to a third-party analytics service.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the shared care board and show what has been done and what is due.
- To sync your pets, care logs, and schedules across the members of your household when you are signed in.
- To send care reminders and notifications you have opted into.
- To maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the app.
How Your Information Is Shared
When you invite other caregivers to a household, the pets, care logs, schedules, and member display names in that household are visible to the members you invite. That is the core purpose of a shared care board.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We rely on the following infrastructure providers (sub-processors) to operate the service:
- Supabase — hosts the backend database and authentication used to store and sync your account and household data.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications for care reminders and household updates.
We may also disclose information if required to comply with the law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time from within the app under Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your authentication account and associated data from our backend, and erases your local data on that device. Content shared with a household may remain visible to other members of that household where it was contributed collaboratively.
Children's Privacy
PawDone is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be communicated within the app.
